Graphology is the study of a person's character through the medium of handwriting. The study of handwriting is based on a general style of writing, letter formation, the space between words and lines, etc. By looking at these aspects of handwriting, it is possible to get an idea of a person's personality, attitude, mental make-up and talents.

We develop our handwriting right when we are children and our handwriting changes as we grow – both mentally and physically. When we write, the pen is under the control of the muscles of your fingers, hands and arm. All these body parts are under the control of your mind. The manner in which the words are eventually formed by the pen must bear a direct relationship to the mind that guides their formation. Each vibration of movement is unconsciously directed by the brain, so we can judge the mental state of the writer. It is a guide to the will power, intellect and emotions of a person.

For an accurate analysis, written text should have been written in a natural manner and the effort should not be deliberate. The best samples are business letters or notes.

It's also important to know the age and educational standards of the writer. Obviously an old man's hand will be shaky when you compare his writing to a relatively younger person. The interpretation of the writing or the written script is common for both men and women.

Sign in Style in Japan!

Yesterday was a surprise day for Sign in Style. The service faced heavy traffic and hundreds of registrations and all of it had Japanese names!

Something was surely cooking. I went to Google Analytics and found out that prominent IT blog of Japan 100shiki.com has written a post about Sign in Style and that has caused this sweet spike :).

We encountered more than 1000 visits in a day, more than 100 registrations and lot of Signature Requests. We hope that the trend will continue for few more days.

Here is the translated version of the post for the people like me who does not understand Japanese. Translation is not all that good and it hardly make sense when you read it but it must have been perfect in Japanese :)

Sign in Style is back in action!!

Finally...we are up and running again with a better, faster server. We apologize for any inconvenience it might have caused.

One thing we would like to clear out here is when you search sign in style in google, it gives a warning that this site may harm your computer due to some badware. We have checked the site and nothing of that sort exists. We have asked for the review to google and will be cleared soon. Meanwhile be assured of the safety of your computer. We have lot of other things to do than spreading badware :)

Opening up Sign in Style for various platforms

Opensocial version of Sign in Style is here! Now Orkut users will be able to take pleasure of designer signature using Opensocial application of Sign in Style. Above is the screenshot of the same how the application might look like.

At Sign in Style and DIGICorp (parent company) we constantly believe in innovating and adapting to new technologies to make our products better.

SIS-Orkut is one example of that.

Infact we started with Facebook application of Sign in Style much before this. Following is the screenshot of same.

The applications are just about to complete and we will be putting them live after the Indian New Year (Diwali).

This will open up altogether new user base for Sign in Style. 50m users of Facebook and more than 200m users of Opensocial network will be target user base.

First of all I am really sorry for not putting up a post since long.
But we were really busy working on the new Sign in Style. We call it "SIS Reloaded" ;)

So let me leak a few secrets today. Secrets of the evolving SIS. But its a secret so keep it so.

It is coming in a newer, sleeker, sexier look.

It is adding to its services. The Designer Signature is of course there but added to it shall be Graphological Signature and Stylized Products.

Graphological Signature shall be based on handwriting samples and their analysis. While with Stylized Products you will be able to imprint your signature on various stuff like mugs, wallets, office stationery, etc.

So let the secret be between us. Share it NO MORE! But do let us know your suggestions.

This service was covered in CNBC Awaaz news channel on 30th April and after that it has become famous overnight. We have received nearly 4000 requests after that day. Due to this sudden burst we are left with many pending requests at this moment. And most of the users are unhappy due to delay in sending their signatures.

So we don't want to disappoint any new users from now on. That is why we have temporarily stopped taking any new request until we are not done with all of the current ones.

If you have registered, be assured of your data. We have saved your data at this moment but we have not activated your account. This means your request will not be processed at this moment.

An Open Request

Dear Registered Users,
I am here to make a genuine request to you.

We know that you all are eagerly waiting for the signatures.
We know that we have taken longer time than you must have expected.

But we are trying our best and we are working very hard to finish the backlog we have right now.

We have more than 3800 users now out of which 2366 are active at this moment. It means we still have to make signatures for 2366 users as of today and these numbers are increasing every day. And the problem is all these new users have come between 30th April and 7th May, following the CNBC Awaaz episode describing our service. So it is virtually impossible to finish all the requests within 3-7 days and thats why most of the users might have to wait longer than 7 days.

Signature designing is not a mechanical job. It is an art. It requires lot of creativity to come out with good ideas and then we have to make videos also for them. So all these things take a little time.

We are looking forward to completing all the requests very soon so please bare with us meanwhile and support our team.

Mamta
She is the one who makes sure that you get your signatures on time.
She manages, motivates, pressurizes, reprimand (especially ankit) the signature designers. She is the one who responds to your queries. She is the one who reminds you if you have still not activated your account or if you haven't checked your signatures yet.

In short she is the Team leader of Sign in Style.

She is called "The lucky charm" for Sign in Style. Since she has joined this team, SIS has gained some immense popularity. As an NID (National Institute of Design) student she is impressively creative and has shown consistent improvement in creating signatures.

We really appreciate the efforts she has put, in current situation when Ankit was not there for few days and she was the only signature designer for 2 days.

All the best to this "Lucky Charm" of SIS and we hope that the service gets more and more popular under her influence.

Welcome to Sign in Style!

Actually its very late to start writing for Sign in Style as it had started its alpha testing on February 7, 2007 and launched its beta version on March 7, 2007. But still here is the brief history of Sign in Style.

Sometime in late December 2006
- An idea struck to DIGICorp co-founders (As far as I know it was kuntal and sanket) as Abhishek wanted to change his signature but couldn't find any online service to do so
- Kuntal came up with an idea to start a similar service on our own
- We all took it very lightly at that time

31st December 2006
- Idea got solid base as Minal and Abhishek started planning for it at hospital waiting for minal's brother to get released from bed.
- Workflow, deadlines were set in the parking of hospital

1st January 2007
- Execution started

7th February 2007
- Released alpha version to be tested by near and dear ones.
- Good work PHP department :)

7th March 2007
- Beta launch

16th March 2007
- Economic Times writes a great article about www.signinstyle.com which puts site in limelight.

30th April 2007
- CNBC Awaaz cover the service in detail in the show called "Awaaz plus".
- Sign in Style gets famous overnight
- Records 500+ requests for signature in one night

1st May 2007
- Sign in Style team almost gets a nervous breakdown from such a huge response :)
- Every minute 2-3 new registration were there
- Total number of users crosses the 2000 mark
- Sign in Style earns 26$ in a day from google adsense ( Finally some money :) )

2nd May 2007
- Requests are still coming in and here I am writing this blog :)
