Sign in Style was down

Dear All,
Recently Sign in Style was down for one whole night or day (depending on your time zone). It was because our hosting provider messed up big time and they to had reinstall OS on their server. We really apologize for the same. And we will make sure this kind of thing does not happen again.

Sorry,
Abhishek

Guys, do you know that when i searched for Sign in Style in Google, the result came up with a warning reading "'This site may harm your computer?'".

Are you doing something about that? I was thinking in osting something in my blog about your product that I found very creative, but 1) the site is still down and 2) I can't send people to a site that is considered harmful.

Pls let me know when the site will be up again and without problems of badware.

Thanks, San :)

Dear San,
Thank you very much for bringing this to our notice. We have checked our site and have appealed to review once again to google. I am sure we will come out clean as we have better things to do other than installing malware to user's computer :)

Please bear with us for some time. As soon as the result comes I will let you know.

Meanwhile you can check out another creative product from us which is called http://www.rivals4ever.com

Please let know what do you think of it.

Thanks,
Abhishek

I found rivals4ever a very interesting product but with some challenges related to the global world: while some of the rivalries will be well known by everyone some of them may be too important at a local level but if you add them there, you will alienate too many people thinking "WTF? What are they talking about?"

Some examples:

You can add Alien Vs Predator or Freddy vs Jason because movies was done about those fictional rivalries. Those movies, exported almost anywhere, make those rivalries known by a large public.

Now, I am from Argentina, so even when I am living in the US, my first search was for River vs Boca (two local soccer teams and the biggest rivalry we have inour country). Of course it was not there. And here is the dilemma: If you add it, it will mean nothing to a lare group. If you don't add it, another large group will feel the site is lacking info.

One possible solution will be to add another field (apart from weapons, etc) and make people fill that field when they add a rivalry (especially the local ones) to make it required to add also an explanation of who is who and what the rivalry is about. Something in the lines of "explain to someone that has never heard of this two, who they are and why they are rivals"

My two cents, San :)

PS: I had to entered this here instead of answering via email because your email arrived as a noreply-comment@blogger.com that is not a valid eamil address to answer.
